Job Summary:

Volunteers are at the heart of Bristol Wood Recycling Project. Enabling social inclusion and learning through volunteering is one of our core objectives, and volunteer support is essential to delivering our social and environmental goals.

The Volunteering Coordinator is the main point of contact for volunteers. You'll welcome people and ensure that volunteering at BWRP is safe, inclusive, and rewarding. Supporting volunteers is something we hold collectively as a co-op, but this role takes lead responsibility for coordinating the programme, maintaining accurate records, ensuring good practice and safeguarding, and reporting on our impact.

A key part of the role is outreach and recruitment. Volunteers come and go, and our ability to meet our objectives depends on a steady flow of new people. You'll be proactive in expanding our reach, building links with communities, groups, and networks across Bristol to ensure volunteering at BWRP is accessible, diverse, and sustainable.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working with people and is highly attentive to detail, systems, and accountability. It combines direct involvement with volunteers alongside outreach, programme coordination, data management, and continuous development of our volunteering offer.

As with all roles at BWRP, after completing probation, you'll be invited to become a co-op member. Membership means not just having a job, but also having a voice: contributing to decisions, shaping the organisation's direction, and sharing responsibility for its success.
