Full description
In this hybrid role, you will work closely with Roy from January 2026 in executing clearly defined weekly organisational tasks for current art projects.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ongoing archive work involving image and sound editing, file hygiene and systematisation. You will manage, update and streamline existing media accounts and platforms where relevant.

The ideal candidate will be registered self-employed, experienced in studio practice and/or creative project management, and be interested in the wider interdisciplinary ecologies of contemporary art.

This role is hybrid and will involve mostly remote working operating a shared email inbox, video calling, phone calling, and live online documents, with some in-person meetings and occasional out of hours work for live events or exhibitions by agreement.

Due the requirement for some in-person work this role would suit a candidate based in the Liverpool City Region, the Manchester City Region or the Leeds City Region.

Job Requirements

Required skills

  • Production experience in one or more of the following disciplines: performance, sound art, exhibition-making, publishing; and interest in the crossovers (evaluated by CV)
  • Experience managing projects in any of the above or related fields (evaluated by CV)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Suites (evaluated by interview)
  • Strong systematic skills with the ability to prioritise (evaluated by CV and/or interview)
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to ask for help and further clarification (evaluated by cover letter and interview)
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative within remit of the role (evaluated by interview)
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to co-producing ordered operations (evaluated by CV and/or interview)

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist the artist in planning, organising and executing projects and public engagements
  • Collaborate with the artist to ensure project/engagement objectives are met and communicated with relevant parties
  • Support the artist to manage project timelines, resources and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Manage creative documentation including digital file hygiene, systematisation and some image and sound editing
  • Coordinate and communicate with arts organisations, producers, vendors, freelancers to ensure project requirements are met
  • Support artist monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively propose solutions
  • Attend regular project status meetings and provide updates to the artist and other team members where relevant
