Job Summary

Unique Voice is seeking an experienced, values-led Service & Experience Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a central role in shaping, delivering and evolving our creative programmes for children and young people.

Job Description

The Service & Experience Lead holds overall responsibility for ensuring that our projects and services are planned, mobilised, delivered and evaluated to a high standard, on time and within budget. Working closely with the Company Directors and SLT, you will provide strong operational leadership while ensuring that everything we do is delivered with compassion, creativity and care.

You will lead and support our operations and services team, oversee project delivery and budgets, build trusted relationships with commissioners and partners, and use evaluation and learning to drive continuous improvement. Safeguarding and child safety sit at the heart of this role, and you will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the organisation (training provided).

This is a role for someone who combines structure with empathy, is motivated by social change, and thrives in a dynamic, community-facing environment.

Job Requirements

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Senior-level experience contributing to strategic planning and organisational development.

  • Strong project and people leadership skills, with experience delivering high-quality, community-impact work and supporting teams with compassion.

  • Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience using evaluation and reporting to evidence impact and drive improvement.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and trauma-informed practice, with the confidence to take on safeguarding leadership responsibilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience within youth, education, creative, community or social enterprise settings.

  • Prior safeguarding leadership experience and/or advanced safeguarding training.

  • Knowledge of HR best practice and experience working with commissioners, funders or managing project/service budgets.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Lead the compassionate planning and delivery of all projects and services, managing timelines, budgets, teams and stakeholder relationships to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Strategy, Goals & Change

  • Set and deliver organisational goals and lead strategic change that strengthens services and benefits the communities we serve.

People Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, support and develop staff through inclusive, motivating leadership that enables growth, wellbeing and positive change.

Safeguarding & Safety

  • Champion a strong culture of safeguarding and child safety and act as the organisation's Designated Safeguarding Lead (training provided).

Evaluation, Learning & Improvement

  • Lead evaluation and reporting, using learning and insight to continually improve performance, quality and impact.
