Curious Arts are looking to welcome a part-time Projects Producer to our team for a six-month period. Working with the Chief Executive Officer and Producers, the role will support the planning, and realise the management and delivery of Curious Arts’ projects and programmes

Job Description

Job title: Projects Producer

Salary: £32,000 FTE
Hours: Part time - 24 hours per week, working across at least three days (0.6 FTE).
Contract: 6 months.

Benefits: £250 professional development training budget (pro rata) and pension scheme.
Holiday: 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays & 1 Day for your birthday (pro rata)
Location: Offices based in Hartlepool andNewcastle, with some home working. Requirement to attend Curious Arts events across the UK.
Probation: 3 months
Notice period: 1 month

LGBTQIA+ arts and youth charity Curious Arts are looking to welcome a part-time Projects Producer to our team for a six-month period. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Producers, the role will support the planning, and realise the management and delivery of Curious Arts' ambitious projects and programmes. Championing LGBTQIA+ culture and communities across the North East and beyond. Developing audience and community engagement and partnership relationships with creativity, representation and inclusion at the forefront.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a production/project management role in the arts, creative, educational or community sectors.
  • High level proficiency in project management, including budget management, data collection/management, reporting and contract administration.
  • Experience in the design of professional development activity and working closely with artists and freelancers.
  • Experience of professional network co-ordination.
  • Demonstrated ability in partnership development, fundraising and working with diverse/intersectional public and voluntary sector agencies.
  • Experience in working with intersectional and underrepresented communities, including LGBTQIA+, young people, disabled, marginalised populations, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent computer and IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, event management systems and CRMs.
  • Line management experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and national touring of Curious Arts' original works including The Turkey and The Caterpillar, Pride Trike and Groove and Glow.
  • Deliver relevant, informed and adaptable artist development and commission activities, including performance platforms, cabarets and "artist with company" opportunities.
  • Support the delivery of an LGBTQIA+ arts sector focused national project.
  • Coordinate LGBTQIA+ cultural network Queer Arts North. Working with multiple regional partners to realise meeting schedules and deliver public facing professional development activity.
  • Lead the planning and execution of assigned project strategies, activity/artist schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee the implementation of project plans from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon milestones.
  • Coordinate the selection, contracting and management of artists, producers and organisations involved in projects that support the values of Curious Arts.
