artsdepot seeks an experienced freelance evaluator (individual or organisation) to lead the final phase of evaluation for Barnet & Culture for Youth, a three-year cultural education initiative. You'll consolidate existing data, design inclusive evaluation tools, and produce a final report evidencing impact, reach, and legacy. This freelance contract is ideal for an individual, or an organisation, with a strong track record in evaluating participatory arts, youth engagement, and partnership programmes. This contract is offered on a freelance basis. The maximum fee is £5,000 (inclusive of all fees and expenses). For 25 days of work or 187.5 hours (7.5 hours per day). Start date is negotiable but no later than end of January 2026. Final deadline for report is Friday 14 August 2026. Proven experience in evaluating arts, partnerships, cultural education, or youth engagement programmes. Understanding of qualitative and quantitative methods of evaluation and able to choose the best approach for each area of the organisation. Comfortable with statistical analysis Strong and demonstrable understanding of participatory and inclusive evaluation methodologies. Excellent communication and report writing skills; fully computer literate and numerate. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including children and young people. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to a deadline. The confidence and communication skills to interract with a range of partners and stakeholders and represent B&CY. Commitment to equal opportunities and inclusive practice Evaluation Consolidation & Design Review and consolidate existing evaluation materials, reports, and data collected over the three-year programme. Identify gaps in evidence and design supplementary evaluation activities as needed. Design evaluation tools with partners, participants, and facilitators to ensure inclusive and meaningful data collection within available resources and time. Speak to stakeholders (Barnet Council, John Lyons, ACE) and project partners Support partners to gather their own data to feed into the evaluation. Data Collection & Analysis Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data across the programme's strands. Implement plan for partners, freelance artists, and Creative Producer (Education) to support fieldwork and data collection. Ensure ethical and inclusive evaluation practices, including safeguarding and consent for documentation.Job Summary
