The position requires a balance of technical production knowledge, organisational capability. The engagement is structured as two days per month from August - November, four days in December 2026, followed by an intensive delivery period of 12 days in January 2027. The Production Manager will need to be available for two days between 7th and 11th September as part of our Immersive Lab R&D period. The Production Manager needs to have demonstratable experience working with SAG, and experience of mapping would be beneficial. We work in a very unique way, combining the expertise of specialist creatives and technical teams with a hard-working army of volunteers and trade sponsors who work to make the festival possible through intensive build weekends. Deliverables Undertake site assessment of 6 different performance spaces and create draught plans of each space in collaboration with the festival team, identifying the positioning of each installation and the technical infrastructure required for each space. Ensure layouts consider safety, operational flow, audience experience, and regulatory compliance. Assess and evaluate site infrastructure, including power availability, load capacities, access constraints, and technical feasibility, ensuring each location can safely support the intended production outcomes. Identify, scope and budget the technical elements for the in-house immersive project, which is being presented as the headline piece, working in collaboration with the creative team. Attend weekly team meeting and state of play online from October through to December for 45 minutes per week. Analyse all incoming technical specifications and develop a list of required technical infrastructure and put this out to at least three comparative suppliers.
