This role is in partnership with Portsmouth City Council to support the delivery of a Portsmouth 100 project called Pride in Pompey.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Event Co Ordinator with good local community knowledge of Portsmouth. We're looking for someone who brings strong organisational skills, creative thinking and a genuine commitment to supporting artists and communities. You'll be collaborative, proactive and confident working with a wide range of people and organisations. The postholder will manage relationships with freelance creatives, partners and venues, maintaining clear communication and continuity across all areas of the project.

Essential Criteria:
Demonstrable experience in producing high quality arts projects and events directly with communities.
Demonstrable experience in production planning and scheduling.
Highly organised, solutions-focused and confident managing multiple priorities with exceptional time management skills.
Strong financial literacy and experience managing production budgets.
Clear communication skills and experience in building positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in collaborative environments and to step confidently into an ongoing programme of work.
Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and creating positive environments for communities.
Experience liaising with creatives, venues, communities and stakeholders.
Experience of risk assessment and health & safety compliance within live performance settings.
Familiarity with Arts Council or publicly funded project requirements and reporting and evaluation.
Quality & Safety Control, including risk assessments along with a strong knowledge of working with Safety Advisory Groups within local authorities.

Salary: 9 Month Contract (104 days set fee £20,800 May-June 4 days per week July - Nov 3 days per week, Dec - 2 days per week Jan 27, 1 day per week)

Contract commences 1st week in May.
Hours: Part time
