Minimum of two years' experience of working in a fundraising environment or equivalent with a track record of success in building, developing and maintaining strong relationships. Experience of raising significant funds from trusts & foundations, statutory and Lottery sources, achieving and delivering income against targets Highly developed bid writing and stewardship skills An understanding of fundraising from some/all of major donors, patrons, membership schemes, regular giving and donations Experience of line-management or ready to develop management and strategic skills with support Experience with budgeting, planning and project management, producing high quality work to strict deadlines Basic up to date knowledge of Codes of Fundraising practice and GDPR Demonstrated knowledge of Excel and Word; and knowledge and experience of working with a charity Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system With support and in consultation with the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, develop and implement a targeted programme of trusts & grants fundraising, a central part of the fundraising portfolio for Cheltenham Festivals. Line-manage the two part-time Patrons Managers and the Patrons and Grants Executive, to ensure that stewardship within the charity is of the highest standard, opportunities for individual giving are maximised, and that team culture is supportive, fun and dynamic. Co-ordinate a dynamic rolling programme of high-quality tailored grant applications, working with relevant colleagues across the organisation to ensure that they are accurate, compelling, contain the required budget information and are submitted within deadlines. Proactively identify and research potential grant-givers and trustees of trusts and foundations, maintaining a regularly updated pipeline of prospects.
