We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual with a proven track record of delivering campaigns, ideally within the cultural sector.

Job Description

  • Develop and deliver a long-term marketing strategy for HMS&G with innovative, integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, press and advertising, aligning with the seasonal calendar and key priorities.
  • Act as brand guardian for the Foundation, ensuring communications are consistent, accessible and of the highest quality.
  • Work with the Foundation's PR agency to develop and manage creative PR campaigns enhancing visibility for Henry Moore, HMS&G and the Grants Programme.
  • Generate engaging media materials and ensure timely dissemination to relevant outlets, building and sustaining strong relationships with local, national and sector journalists to drive coverage and support messaging.
  • Organise and deliver press events, including exhibition previews, photocalls and press trips, managing proactive and reactive media enquiries.
  • Manage and supervise on-site non-commercial photography and filming opportunities, ensuring appropriate permissions, credits and captions.
  • Manage the Foundation's press image library.
  • Contribute to digital and social media strategies, overseeing content for social media for HMS&G and the Grants Programme, including developing opportunities for influencer engagement, partnerships, and cross-promotion with partners and media outlets.
  • Work closely with programme teams to understand audience motivations through research, inductions and feedback, applying insights to audience development strategies to ensure campaigns are evidence-based and impactful.
  • Collate & monitor visitor figures weekly.
  • Manage marketing budget for HMS&G, ensuring maximum value and compliance with financial procedures.
  • Serve as primary contact for grant recipients on marketing approvals, working in partnership with Grants Manager to ensure smooth and consistent sign-off for use of Henry Moore Foundation logo.
  • Represent the Foundation in collaborative marketing initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and data management regulations in all marketing activity.

Job Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (E)
  • At least two years' experience delivering marketing and communications campaigns (E), ideally within the cultural sector (D)
  • Proven experience of building strong relationships with the media and understanding of the current media landscape (E)
  • Experience managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and securing best value (D)
  • Familiarity with effective review and evaluation processes (E)
  • Excellent copywriting skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt tone and content for different audiences (E)
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively (E)
  • Ability to understand and respond to the motivations of diverse audiences, from academics to general visitors, creating campaigns that resonate (E)
  • High level of digital competency, including Microsoft Office, databases, website CMS, social media platforms, and design tools such as Photoshop (D)

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Enterprise, the post-holder will devise and deliver effective marketing strategies and innovative PR campaigns to grow audiences for Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, its exhibitions and engagement programme regionally, nationally and internationally - including touring shows.

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of marketing and communications, with the ability to develop strategies, create compelling content and maximise engagement across a range of platforms. Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential, together with a flair to produce engaging content. A good knowledge of the current media landscape is equally important, alongside confidence in using databases, website content management system, customer relationship management and design tools such as Photoshop.

This is a part time position of 28 hours spread across 4 or 5 days.
