Desirable: - Assist a young person on a one to one basis with personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and hygiene, while maintaining dignity and respect at all times. Experience and knowledge of working with people with learning disabilities.
A calm, nurturing and compassionate approach to managing emotional regulation and behaviour
Knowledge of issues, challenges and needs of diverse young people, particularly those with SEND
Experience and knowledge of safeguarding procedures, policy and pastoral care
The ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving
The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with learners and families/carers
Experience supporting learners with personal hygiene and intimate care in a respectful and dignified manner
The ability to be a positive ambassador for the charity
An open and honest communication style
A high degree of self-motivation and drive to improve life for others

Experience assisting in creative workshops with vulnerable groups of young peopleJob Responsibilities
- Work creatively with a small group of young adults to enable them to develop their own artistic voices.
- Work collaboratively with Leaders of Learning, Learning Facilitators, artistic staff, visiting artists and other professional agencies to provide effective support for learning activities.
- Support the safeguarding of each learner
- Mentor, encourage, support and advocate for individual learners, enabling them to achieve their ambition.
- Support learners during their coffee and lunch breaks helping them to prepare or buy food etc.
- Provide pastoral support for learners who are upset or unwell
