Description

Job Summary

DAiSY is seeking an experienced freelance Bookkeeper / Finance Manager to oversee our financial records and support the effective management of our funding.

Job Description

DAiSY is seeking an experienced freelance Bookkeeper / Finance Manager to oversee our financial records and support the effective management of our funding.

The role will involve managing multiple restricted and unrestricted funding streams through Xero, including grants from Arts Council England, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and other trusts and foundations. The successful candidate will ensure that expenditure is accurately allocated across different projects, budget headings and funding periods, enabling clear reporting to funders and DAiSY's CIC Directors.

We are keen to hear from applicants with lived experience of a disability. As a disability arts organisation it is important to be able to represent the people we work with. A large format version of this job description is available on request. We are also able to provide this role description in audio format if required.

Job Requirements

The role is expected to require approximately one day per month, although additional hours may occasionally be needed around funding bids and reporting deadlines and year-end accounts.

We would ideally like this person to start before November 2026 with support from the previous post holder to explain our systems and operations.

Process and reconcile income, expenditure, invoices and payments.

Prepare clear financial information for the Managing Director and CIC Directors.
Support financial reporting and grant claims for funders, including Arts Council England and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Liaise with project managers, staff and external accountants as required.
