Ensure health, safety, and security procedures are followed, including routine checks and fire alarm testing.
Set up rooms, equipment, and technical elements (sound, lighting, AV) for classes, events, and private hires.
Act as event manager or deputy for public events and hires, supporting volunteers and ensuring smooth visitor flow.
Work collaboratively with staff, contractors, and volunteers to support a welcoming, well organised venue.

What You'll Bring
Practical maintenance/DIY skills and the confidence to troubleshoot on the spot.
Experience working with the public, including handling challenging behaviour.
Basic technical ability to support AV, sound, and lighting setups.
Strong organisation, communication, and time management skills.
Physical stamina, including lifting up to 25kg and being on your feet for extended periods.
A proactive, positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work evenings/weekends as part of an events rota and to obtain a DBS check

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. A proactive, team focused approach and willingness to undertake hands on duties. High attention to detail and ability to work independently using good judgement. Reliable, professional, and punctual, with strong communication skills and competent IT use. Support health, safety, and site security through regular checks, fire alarm testing, security walkarounds, incident response, and adherence to emergency procedures, including fire evacuation. Complete scheduled inspections, contribute to improving safety systems, and maintain up-to-date training.
Set up and prepare spaces for events, classes, and hires, including furniture, equipment, AV, bar, and stage.
