Deafinitely Theatre is seeking an experienced and passionate individual with strong leadership and management skills to join our team as our new Executive Director.

Job Description

Reports to: Artistic Director and the Board

Responsible for: General Manager, Projects Manager and freelance staff as required

Terms: This role is offered on a part-time basis of 4 days per week

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and sustainability of the company, ensuring that Deafinitely Theatre continues to deliver high-quality artistic work while operating with strong governance, effective partnerships and financial stability.

The successful candidate will be someone who is collaborative, strategic and values driven, with a commitment to inclusion and the development of deaf talent within the arts sector.

who we're looking for

The Executive Director has responsibility for the operational and financial wellbeing and smooth business administration of Deafinitely Theatre, strategically and practically.

They will:
*work in partnership with the Artistic Director, Board of Trustees and wider Deafinitely team to implement the vision of the company
*lead the execution of Deafinitely Theatre's strategic plan
*oversee the financial management of the company, including being *responsible for budgets and seeking out new opportunities to generate income
*seek opportunities to build effective relationships with organisations, companies and individuals who will further the aims of Deafinitely Theatre

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, deaf-led theatre company with national reach and international ambitions.

As a deaf-led theatre company, we particularly encourage deaf and hard of hearing people to apply, with desirable candidates being either a native signer or having a minimum of BSL Level 3 qualification.
