Job Summary

Camden Art Centre is recruiting for a Development Coordinator to support the overall work of the Development department, providing excellent administrative support while playing an active role in identifying, cultivating and stewarding supporters and major donors.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser looking to gain experience across every aspect of fundraising, including individual giving, Patrons, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, fundraising events and capital projects. Working closely with the Head of Development and Senior Development Manager, the successful candidate will help deliver fundraising campaigns, coordinate supporter stewardship, manage CRM systems and contribute to the Centre's long-term fundraising ambitions.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, experience of administration and CRM systems, and an enthusiasm for developing relationships with supporters and donors. They will be proactive, collaborative and keen to build a career in fundraising within the contemporary arts sector.

Job Requirements

The Development Coordinator requires experience in administration, fundraising or the arts, with excellent organisational, communication and relationship management skills. The successful candidate will be confident managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate financial and CRM records, and communicating professionally with donors, Patrons, colleagues and external stakeholders. Strong IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM databases, ideally Salesforce. The role requires excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and the ability to produce reports, correspondence and fundraising documentation. An interest in contemporary visual art and the cultural sector is essential, alongside a proactive and collaborative approach. Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, events, grant applications or prospect research is desirable, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality while contributing positively to a busy team

Job Responsibilities

Support the delivery of Camden Art Centre's fundraising strategy by providing high-quality administration across individual giving, Patrons, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, fundraising events and capital campaigns. Manage donor payments, financial records, CRM systems, Salesforce data, Gift Aid processes and fundraising platforms including Stripe, CAF, Direct Debit and JustGiving. Act as the primary contact for Patrons, coordinating communications, stewardship, memberships, events and donor benefits while maintaining accurate records and excellent supporter care. Assist with grant research, funding applications, donor prospecting, reports and briefing documents for senior staff and Trustees. Coordinate fundraising events, prepare correspondence, maintain supporter recognition across print and digital platforms, and collaborate across departments to strengthen fundraising activity. Ensure compliance with GDPR, financial procedures and organisational policies.
