We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cultural Programme Producer for 2 days a week. Supporting our curation team to deliver events and workshops for the new London Museum at Smithfield, this is an exciting opportunity to take part in shaping the museum's new late night and core programme.

Opening in November 2026, London Museum is launching a brand new late night and core events programme starting February 2028. This role will work with our internal curation team and creative programme producers at London Museum, producing and
delivering unforgettable events that bring the new museum to life after hours, spark conversation, and connect with diverse audiences across the city.
This role will work closely with partners and artists to deliver events that redefine how audiences experience a museum. Event formats might include cultural activities, talks, films screenings and performances. Join us in creating something truly original and unique.

Days: 2 days a week; Wednesday and Thursday each week and a late shift on the first Saturday of each month starting from February 2027.
Salary: £35,000 pro rata
Duration: September 2026 - February 2028
Reports to: Hive Curates management
Hours: 10am-6pm Wednesday-Thursday. First Saturday of each month: 3pm-11pm (starting February 2027).
Overtime: Core late shifts (First Saturday of each month) to be paid additionally each month. Any hours worked outside this shift to be taken in lieu.
Location: Remote and London Museum Smithfield
Benefits: 12 days holiday entitlement per annum (pro-rata in 2026)

This role will require regular weekend and evening work, and to be present at the monthly house parties on the first Saturdays of the month. Time worked beyond the core contracted hours will be taken in lieu.

The position offers the opportunity to join the Hive Curates team at an exciting point in the project. The selected candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in delivering an arts programme, shadowing both Co-founders and supporting the Outreach and Engagement Manager in designing participatory activities as part of the programme.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the arts, has experience commissioning creatives and producing live events, and is eager to deliver impactful culture in London.

Job Requirements

Track record delivering public facing events from concept to completion across a range of formats.

Experience commissioning creatives and performers, and navigating multi stakeholder environments (sponsors, venues, technical teams).

Strong problem solving and organisational ability: juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with clarity and precision; solution driven.

Confidence managing complex budgets, tracking spend and ensuring cost efficient delivery (benchmarking suppliers etc).

Experience designing or supporting participatory activities, workshops or outreach programmes.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills: ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders, as well as providing exceptional experience to visitors.

Knowledge of public-realm delivery (permissions, fabrication processes, safe working, installation requirements).

Up-to-date knowledge of London's cultural landscape (particularly in music, nightlife and contemporary programming).

Job Responsibilities

Artist management - deliver and promote artist open calls, help define artist briefs, assist with shortlisting and artist agreements.

Ensure the vision and quality of the events are maintained throughout, in collaboration with Hive team and London museum event managers.

Work closely with Creative Programme Producers and Guest Editors to shape bold, high-impact events and workshops, contributing creative and engaging ideas to bring the Museum to life.

Plan and help run events and programme - arrange permissions (inc. RAMS, EMPS and H&S), ensure high quality engagement, take part in documentation and reporting.

Assist team with budget management, ensuring there is no overspend and the delivery is cost-efficient and accurate.

Identify funding and sponsorship opportunities to match fund production costs and for future projects.

Work with the team to ensure projects are communicated and marketed effectively on Hive outlets, as well as well-documented for legacy purposes.
