Job Description
The Contemporary Art Society (CAS) is a London-based charity that was founded in 1910 to
promote contemporary art in the UK. Since its foundation, it has facilitated the donation of over 10,500 works of fine art and craft into public collections and currently has a membership of 78 museums across the UK: from Plymouth in the South to Orkney in the north, from Swansea in the West to Norwich in the East.
The CAS website provides public access to information about works we have placed in public collections, creating an important resource for exploring the Society's history and impact. We are continuing to develop the website as a platform for our digital activity, creating lively, informed and authoritative content that brings the stories behind artworks, artists, collections and the CAS's work to life.
Our communications activity is centred on our digital offer, with content developed across the website and social media platforms to reach and engage a broad audience. The Curator of Digital and Communications Co-ordinator roles work closely with the CAS Curatorial team to develop and deliver the organisation's digital and communications activity.Job Requirements
