The De La Warr Pavilion is about to embark on a major building project: An Icon For Everyone (Transforming Heritage). We are seeking an experienced, energetic and hard-working Capital Project Communications Manager to help us tell this exciting stage of our story.

Job Description

The De La Warr Pavilion is seeking a flexible, energetic and hard-working Capital Project Communications Manager to join our busy communications team. This role will co-ordinate, create, deliver and report on public facing communications specific to the De La Warr Pavilion Capital Project, liaising with our partners at Rother District Council, Heart of Sidley and external and internal stakeholders. This post will also be responsible for delivering the communications for public-facing Capital Project fundraising campaigns.

Part-time, 24 hours per week requires flexibility and availability for occasional evenings and weekend working.

January 2026 - March 2028 (fixed term).

Job Requirements

Summary of Post:

Working as a key member of the Communications team, the Capital Project Communications Manager will manage and co-ordinate the delivery and evaluation of the communication plan to support our Capital Project and include updates on progress and timelines. The role will also market our fundraising campaigns to build public awareness, excitement, and support for the capital project.

Job Responsibilities

  • To support the Director of External Relations and Head of Marketing to implement a Capital Project communications plan that aligns with DLWP's Business Plan 2025 - 28.
  • To co-ordinate and deliver communication campaigns to grow, diversify and engage audiences for DLWP' s Capital Project, building public awareness, excitement, and support for the project.
  • To work with architects Howarth Tompkins on national PR campaigns pertaining to the Capital Project.
  • To co-ordinate local and regional PR and communications in a timely way between key partners Rother District Council, Heart of Sidley and other external and internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with partners at Rother District Council, Heart of Sidley and other funders to secure approval for communications
  • Oversee the evaluation and regular reporting of the Capital Project to Rother District Council.
  • Work across the DLWP Fundraising and Communications teams to deliver co-ordinated fundraising marketing campaigns and associated messaging.
