Studio Secret Cinema creates immersive brand experiences for global gaming, tech, and entertainment brands. The Associate Creative Director leads narrative concepts, pitches, and live experiential delivery, blending storytelling, design, and production to create world-class cultural moments.

Job Description

Studio Secret Cinema is seeking an Associate Creative Director to shape high-impact immersive brand experiences for global clients in gaming, tech, and entertainment. The role blends senior creative leadership with hands-on craft, leading narrative concept development for major pitches and overseeing creative execution from concept through live delivery. The position directly contributes to Studio Secret Cinema's growth and reputation for industry-leading experiential campaigns.

This is a fixed-term contract through 31 December 2026, based in or near Greater London, with a hybrid work model requiring at least three days per week in the office. The salary range is £70,000-£80,000 per year, with options for a four- or five-day workweek and compensation adjusted accordingly.

Success is measured by pitch win rate, cultural impact and shareable key visuals, account growth through follow-on work, and industry recognition such as award nominations. The role offers significant opportunity to influence major experiential projects, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and help define world-class cultural moments through immersive storytelling and event design.

This role is open until 5 PM GMT on 6 March.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in creative experiential or events agencies, with at least 3 years at a Senior Creative level, specifically within experiential, brand activation, or immersive entertainment. (Theatre-making or directing experience is a major plus).
  • Proven Pitch Mastery: A track record of leading and winning high-value (six to seven-figure) creative pitches for global corporate brands.
  • Spatial & Narrative World Building: Deep experience in the ability to map out a guest journey across physical environments, ensuring the story translates into 3D space and live layers.
  • Design Literacy: While not necessarily a designer themselves, the candidate must have the technical language to direct 3D designers and integrate creative tech like AR, projection mapping, RFID, as well as graphic and production designers.
  • A Deep Talent Network: An established network of world-class performers, makers, and creative collaborators.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead high-level narrative concepting and hands-on creative development for immersive pitches and live experiences

  • Run collaborative brainstorms for major brand RFPs, shaping concepts from £50k activations to million-pound experiences

  • Translate brand values and product messages into immersive experiential narratives and guest journeys

  • Direct multidisciplinary teams (graphic, production, 3D, performers, costume, etc.) to deliver a distinct Secret Cinema aesthetic

  • Collaborate with producers and technical partners to ensure concepts are feasible, high-quality, and on budget

  • Create visually compelling pitch decks to communicate concepts to clients and partners

  • Present bold narrative-led concepts to senior client stakeholders to build trust and buy-in

  • Evaluate emerging technologies for integration into experiences

  • Audit creative delivery during live builds to ensure execution matches the pitched vision and protects brand integrity
