We are seeking a proactive and organised Assistant Manager to support the General Manager with the delivery of high-quality events and day-to-day operations. This three day a week role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for the arts and community engagement, proven experience in event management and a creative solution-focused mindset. The new Assistant Manager will be a crucial role in helping the management team and the board in running the events programme as smoothly as possible. As an audience-focused organisation, we want to reach a larger, more diverse, and younger audience from our thriving town on the Suffolk coast and the wider East Anglia region. We'll do this through programming incredible performances as well as through our creative community and engagement work. Evening & weekend work as necessary (TOIL provided) Salary: £15k per annum (£25k FTE) Essential Desirable Volunteer Management including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling rotas. Ensuring events are staffed sufficiently and maintaining regular communication with the volunteers. Event Management including artist and production liaison, briefing front of house staff, event set-up and breakdown and other duties that may occasionally include bar work, basic lighting, sound and stage management Marketing & Promotion including creating and distributing promotional materials, digital newsletters, coordinating local flyering. Administration & Customer Service such as responding to customer enquiries via email, phone and in person; manning our box office weekly; assist with other administrative duties as needed.
