Project Management

- City wide participatory arts project: leading on the development and delivery of the Big Mini 2026 project (see https://www.soft-touch.org.uk/big-mini/ for the 2025 project)

- Weekly arts projects: working alongside fellow arts workers, take a lead role in delivering and co-ordinating our regular arts sessions Right Track, STart and the art component to our Project Enable work in New Parks

Working with young people
- Facilitating young people led arts sessions. This can include digital art, traditional arts forms, sketching, painting, graphic design.
- Look for opportunities for regular participants to expand their knowledge and experience (workshops, trips, work experience)
- Referral management: to work with co-workers to make sure young people starting with Soft Touch on placed on the right projects
- Safeguarding: to work with the led co-director to make sure all safeguarding concerns are properly reporting and addressed

Job Requirements

The contract is for six months to cover a sabbatical. The post is part-time at 22.5 hours per week and is based at Soft Touch's premises at 50 New Walk, Leicester LE1 6TF. We would need 15 of the 22.5 hours to be taken on Wednesday and Thursday. The remaining 7.5 hours can be spread over Tuesday or Friday by agreement. An immediate start is available.
