We are seeking experienced and inspiring freelance art tutors to deliver inclusive, high-quality creative sessions for adults and young people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and other support requirements. Our tutors play a key role in shaping Community Focus's welcoming and creative environment: empowering participants to explore their artistic potential, build confidence, and connect with others through creativity. Current opportunities include: Monday AM: Ceramics Monday PM: Photography Arts Wednesday: Fine Art (Beginners) This is a freelance role at £30/hour. Classes are generally 2 hours long, and we also offer a per-term preparation fee of £50. We're recruiting one tutor per discipline to lead each class for a full term. You only need to apply for the subject area that best matches your skills and experience. Design and deliver engaging, inclusive and imaginative workshops for disabled adults, depending on the project. Plan sessions that support participants' wellbeing, confidence and creative development. Create a friendly, safe and accessible environment where everyone feels valued and able to participate. Collaborate with Project Managers to plan term schedules, lesson plans and materials lists. Provide feedback and simple progression notes for students, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps. Contribute to documenting classes (photographs, notes, quotes) for evaluation and social media, in line with consent guidelines. Carry out risk assessments and ensure all safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed. Communicate promptly with Project Managers regarding attendance, safeguarding or any other concerns.
