Mafwa Theatre are seeking to work with an artist to creatively capture and share the story of our upcoming Arts Council England-funded project Routing/re:rooting, in printed format. Location: Leeds (LS9) The project is led by dance artist Mahshid Alavizadeh, who will co-create a dance performance with Kuluhenna Drama participants. The artist(s) will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, focusing on documentation and sense-making. They will capture participants' histories, cultures of dance and the creative process using mixed media, and share key moments through a printed zine. We are commissioning an artist to document the journey of the project and produce a small printed zine publication. The artist will work alongside the Mafwa team, the lead dance artist and Kuluhenna Drama participants to capture the stories, movement influences and creative process behind the work. The final publication should communicate the creative intention, cultural context, and participant voices that shape the work.
