We are looking for a positive, proactive and reliable individual who enjoys working with people and is happy to take on a variety of Box Office duties over weekend shifts. Attention to detail and good communication skills are essential. Min 5 hours per week to be agreed with successful candidate

Job Description

Job Purpose:
To provide excellent customer service and contribute to the day-to-day running of a welcoming and well-organised Box Office, primarily during weekend evening performances.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high standard of service within the Box Office.
- Deliver excellent customer service to every customer, while taking a proactive approach to ticket sales and customer enquiries.
- Process ticket sales and other customer transactions accurately.
- Keep up to date with events across Leicester Square Theatre and the Museum of Comedy.
- Provide accurate end-of-show information as required.
- Ensure all Box Office procedures are followed and the highest standards of security and health & safety are maintained.
- Identify and report any issues affecting the smooth running of the Box Office or performances.
Additional Responsibilities
- Use initiative and make appropriate decisions when dealing with customer enquiries and day-to-day Box Office issues.
- Maintain a good knowledge of upcoming performances, ticket availability and relevant event information.
- Support the Box Office Manager and wider team with additional duties as required.
- Be flexible and available to work Saturday and Sunday evenings, with occasional additional shifts where agreed in advance.

- Previous Box Office or ticketing experience.
- An interest in theatre and comedy.
Pay
£13.15 per hour increasing to £13.45 after 3 month probationary period.

Availability to work Saturday and Sunday evenings, with occasional additional shifts.
Previous Box Office, ticketing, theatre, arts or customer service experience is desirable.
Experience of cash handling and ticketing software is desirable.
Knowledge of Excel and Google Docs is desirable.
An interest in theatre and comedy is desirable.

Job Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming experience for all visitors.
Process ticket sales, exchanges and customer transactions accurately.
Maintain a high standard of presentation and service within the Box Office.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of performances, ticket availability and event information across Leicester Square Theatre and the Museum of Comedy.
Assist with end-of-show procedures and cashing up.
Liaise with promoters and ticketing agencies when required.
Follow all Box Office, security, health & safety and operational procedures.
Identify and report issues affecting the Box Office or performances.
Work collaboratively with the wider theatre team.
Use initiative to resolve customer queries and support the smooth running of performances.
Assist the Box Office Manager with additional duties and contribute to improving customer experience and Box Office operations.
