Job Description

ART ORIENTAL LTD, established in Scotland, is committed to world-class arts education and cross-cultural programmes. We are launching an ongoing UK-wide recruitment of tutors and venue partners to meet the growing demand from Asian students and adult learners.

Learner Groups:

  1. Children (6-17): art foundations, workshops, safeguarding compliant.
  2. Students (Winter/Summer schools, 2-4 weeks): studio practice, lectures, institutional visits.
  3. Adults (year-round, small groups): contemporary arts & technology, aesthetic medicine, mindfulness & art therapy.
    Programme Areas: Art & Technology, Visual & Performing Arts, Design & Applied Arts, Aesthetic Medicine, Mindfulness & Healing.
    Commitment: All projects follow UK safeguarding, Equality Act 2010, HSE, GDPR and DBS checks.

£20-£25 per hour, depending on experience

Expected hours: minimum 10-15 hours per week, guaranteed

We offer guaranteed hours (not zero-hour or casual contracts), competitive pay rates (£20-£25 per hour), and opportunities for professional growth.

Job Requirements

Tutors: BA or higher (MA/PhD preferred), QTS or equivalent, 5+ years international teaching/professional experience, portfolio of exhibitions/publications. Enhanced DBS, safeguarding and GDPR compliance mandatory.

Venue Partners: Registered UK institutions with insurance, risk assessment, safeguarding compliance, equipped venues.

Job Responsibilities

Tutors: Deliver high-quality teaching, create safe learning environments, develop syllabus, assess learners, contribute to final showcases/publications.

Venues: Provide compliant facilities, ensure safeguarding, support institutional visits, host workshops and exhibitions.
