Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026
Salary: £19,275.81 gross per annum (£26,415 FTE)
Hours: 27 hours per week (working pattern below)
Location: Exeter Library

Working Pattern

Week 1:

Monday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (7 hours) with a 1 hour unpaid break
Tuesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (7 hours) with a 1 hour unpaid break
Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (7 hours) with a 1 hour unpaid break
Saturday: 8:45am - 5:00pm (7.25 hrs) with a 1 hour unpaid break
Sunday: 11:30am - 4:15pm (4.75 hours)

Total: 33 hours

Week 2:
Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (7 hours) with a 1 hour unpaid break
Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (7 hours) with a 1 hour unpaid break
Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (7 hours) with a 1 hour unpaid break

Total: 21 hours

Average: 27 hours per week

Exeter Library is one of Devon's busiest and most vibrant public spaces, welcoming thousands of visitors each week. We're looking for a Team Leader who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy, community-focused environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of the library. You'll lead the frontline team, support colleagues on the library floor and help ensure the building runs smoothly day to day. You'll also play a part in shaping events, activities and services that connect the library with the communities it serves.
