Essential Qualifications

Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)

Qualification or experience in the music industries

Essential Qualities

Experience in the creative subject area (music)

Significant organisational and administrative skills, supported by proficiency with ICT

Excellent verbal and written skills, including telephone manners, diplomacy and confidentiality

Excellent interpersonal skills and solution focused approach to professional relationships

Ability to work in a demanding environment, meeting deadlines by prioritising tasks

Strong listening skills and the ability to deal with sensitive situations with integrity

Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative

Flexible, motivated and committed to high standard of working

Excellent attendance and punctuality

Resilient, determined to achieve goals and committed to the ethos of the college

Experience in education or youth work

Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities

Job Specific Responsibilities

Attendance phone calls and emails for your cohort every morning and afternoon

Tracking of engagement with student services/issue /outcome

Tracking of attendance and disciplinary to support learners in overcoming their barriers to learning

Attendance once a month at curriculum team meetings

Cover vocational sessions within area of specialism. In the event of this you will be provided with the lesson plan and related resources and will receive overtime (as agreed with your line manager prior to request for overtime) to enable you to complete usual duties.

To provide specialist vocational support to students and tutors in your curriculum area as required.

To provide support during college events in line with vocational specialism.

35 hours across 5 days a week for 38 weeks per year

This is a permanent term-time position

Pro rata of annual salary FTE £27,300 (Actual salary £22,491)
