Freewheelers Theatre & Media Ltd, a disabled-led theatre company based in Surrey is seeking a stage manager for Pantomania, to be performed at the Theatre, Leatherhead in April 2026.

Job Description

Freewheelers Theatre & Media Ltd is seeking a stage manager to help towards staging their production 'Pantomania on 10 and 11 April 2026 at the Theatre, Leatherhead, Surrey. Fee offered is £21.50 per hour x 112 hours. Approximately 10 hours a week x 11 weeks.

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Strong, confident theatre technician with experience in sound, lighting and video projection.

  • Highly organised and able to coordinate with creative and technical teams.

  • Clear, reliable communicator with prompt email response.

  • Positive attitude toward working in an inclusive, disability-led environment.

  • Patient, proactive, good-humoured team player.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

  • Access to a vehicle suitable for transporting props and equipment.

  • Previous experience working with disabled people.

Job Responsibilities

This role supports Freewheelers' inclusive panto production "Pantomania." Responsibilities include attending rehearsals (Jan-Apr) and coordinating with creative leads; compiling a Show Book and defining technical needs; building QLab audio/video cues; liaising with theatre staff on equipment and staffing; arranging additional hires; creating and circulating get-in and rehearsal schedules; organising transport of sets, costumes, props and equipment; leading the get-in and technical rehearsals; operating technically during performances (e.g., calling the show, running QLab); and overseeing the get-out.
