David Pugh Ltd are looking for a Sound No.1 for the upcoming UK tour of 'Pride and Prejudice (*sort of)'. If interested please send a CV to [email protected] by 5pm on the 10th July Dates: Demonstrable experience in operational sound, showcasing excellent technical proficiency. - Proficiency with QLab playback and show control software, preferably with previous experience using Yamaha digital mixing consoles & processors with Dante network audio. - Possess a composed and practical approach to troubleshooting technical issues. - Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced touring environment. - Strong communication and organisational skills to facilitate seamless coordination. - Collaborate with the CSM to supervise and schedule sound department staff, including technical swings and deputy operator - Perform any additional duties typically associated with the role of Sound No.1 on a touring show. - Manage the show's stock of consumables and mics, liaising with the Sound Designer and Production Sound Engineer where necessary - Ensure the seamless execution of the production during each tour move, working with the Production Sound Engineer during the load in and running the load out with local crew each week. - Manage daily system checks and regular maintenance sessions to uphold optimal performance. - Execute sound cues during public performances, maintaining vigilance over audio systems throughout the venue. - Mix live inputs throughout the production and ensure all microphones are fitted correctly (where applicable), charged and ready for use throughout each show. - Maintain the sound system's functionality, collaborating with Autograph Sound's technical support team as necessary. - Attend production meetings, technical rehearsals, and dress rehearsals. - Foster clear communication lines with other technical departments and the CSM/SM to facilitate smooth show operations.
