Job Description

We are seeking a Social Media Content Creator to develop and produce exceptional social-first digital content for King & McGaw, combining cultural insight, original thinking and strong creative judgement to elevate our brand, showcase our products and connect with our community across social platforms. Working collaboratively with the Social Media Manager, Art Director and wider marketing team, the Social Media Content Creator will shape ideas from initial concept through to final execution, creating engaging, distinctive content that drives organic growth, strengthens brand affinity and delivers high-quality creative for both organic and paid social campaigns.

The role is part time, 3 days per week, based at our workshops in Newhaven, East Sussex.

Job Requirements

-Experienced photographer and videographer with the ability to create high-quality, engaging content for social media and digital channels.
-Highly proficient in design tools including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Media Encoder, and Illustrator.
-Have a genuine passion for social media, with a strong understanding of emerging trends, niche online communities and the culture, formats and language of platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
-2-3 years of experience creating social content professionally, for a brand, agency, or as a creator/freelancer with a strong portfolio.
-Ability to understand and engage with social reporting, using performance insights to iterate and improve future creative output.
-Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, factoring in sign-off with internal and external stakeholders.
-Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships and communicate effectively with people

Job Responsibilities

-Create engaging, accessible social content across video and photography, tailoring each piece to the platform to grow our audience and drive engagement.
-Work closely with the Social Media Manager on content ideation, pitching concepts rather than waiting for direction. Work together on the content calendar and scheduling, and with the wider marketing team on campaigns and launches.
-Adapt content for other marketing channels, including paid social campaigns and our website, ensuring each asset meets the needs of the channel.
-Ensure all content reflects the King & McGaw brand, following brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity.
-Identify relevant cultural moments and online conversations, using creative judgement to identify opportunities that feel right for the brand.
