Job Type: 43 weeks per year, permanent

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000 FTE - depending upon experience

Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Reports to: Principal

Areas of Experience: Musical Theatre, Dance, Choreography, Teaching & Education.

Overview

Stageworks delivers industry focused training and is dedicated to help prepare talented young performers for professions within Performing Arts.

We are looking for an individual or 2 candidates to job share who are dedicated, flexible, inspiring and experienced to help lead our Musical Theatre & Acting courses within our specialist sixth form college. The position/s will be responsible for shaping and delivering an exceptional curriculum and involves strategic management of both courses and ensuring high quality teaching and learning.

Job Requirements

Personal Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant degree (Performing Arts, Education) and preferably a teaching Qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of successful Performing Arts teaching at Post 16 or equivalent level.
  • Experience in course leadership, curriculum planning, and staff management is desirable.
  • Professional industry experience in Performing Arts is advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong pedagogical understanding, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Up to date knowledge of current developments in Performing Arts education and Industry trends.
  • BTEC examination (or equivalent vocational qualification) delivery requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lead or inspire and support creative projects and performance opportunities.
