Razzamataz Theatre Schools Newcastle is a thriving performing arts school established as part of the national Razzamataz brand. We provide high-quality performing arts education to children aged 2-18, with a balanced focus on musical theatre and commercial styles.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Singing Teacher to join our growing team of performers and educators. This role involves delivering dynamic, engaging singing lessons for students aged 6-18, with potential to work with our Minis classes (ages 4-5).

Hours: Saturdays during term time 09:15 or 10:00-14:40 (to be discussed based on the candidate's preferences).

Pay: From £18 per hour (this is an employed position)

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of and a passion for working with children and young people
  • Demonstrable passion for the performing arts
  • Strong musical ability and understanding of vocal techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff
  • Adaptability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
  • Commitment to Razzamataz's values and ethos

Desirable Criteria:

  • Qualifications in performing arts, teaching, or singing/vocal pedagogy
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
  • Professional performance credits

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging singing lessons for students aged 6-18, covering both musical theatre and pop styles
