In conjunction with the Technical Manager, be responsible for the technical development, operation and management of all performances, concerts, related activities and facilities within agreed schedules and budgets. In conjunction with the Technical Manager ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment located in the venues. To operate a variety of advanced and technically demanding events and shows. Working at Culture Warrington venues or across other venues and outdoor locations across Warrington. Ensure that all events, along with the pre & post event experiences, are of the highest professional standard., working closely with colleagues, partner organisations, promotors and hirers. Provide technical training for staff, apprentices, work experience, volunteers and hirers when required. Ensure that all maintenance of the venues and systems is promptly and efficiently completed within budgetary constraints. In conjunction with the Technical Manager ensure the safe and efficient get-in, fit-up and get-out of all productions and events. Act as Duty Technician and at times as Duty Manager. Occasionally deputise for the Technical Manager and Events Operations Manager. Assist the Technical Manager with contractors in ensuring that all safety inspections are scheduled e.g. electrical installation certificate, gas safety inspection certificate, load testing. Take an active role in developing and monitoring the health and safety standards within the venues. Ensure that working and storage areas are kept clean and tidy. and fire escape routes are clear at all times. Evidence of professional experience working within the industry - minimum 3 years Experience of operating a range of large scale/complex performances Experience of rigging chain motors and trussing including knowledge of calculating safe working loads Experience of truss walking and working at height using harnesses and rope access Ability to work effectively with customers, visiting companies, promoters, hirers and stakeholders with demonstrable excellent customers service skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced changing environment, with flexibility and high attention to detail Ability to lead a team supervising staff when required Experience of planning outdoor events Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Technical Theatre or a suitable discipline. Industry training such as ABTT Bronze, Silver or Gold Relevant Working at Height Rope Access qualification Relevant industry Rigging Training Tallescope Training IPAF To work closely with visiting hirers, artists, agents and promoters to ensure their technical requirements are met, by providing appropriate advice and compliance with the agreed contractual terms. In conjunction with the Technical Manager, ensure that all events/ shows are staffed appropriately, ( technicians, crew etc) and in a timely manner, taking into account set up and pack down. Assist in the organisation, recruitment of staff in order to satisfy demand for technical services. As required act as Duty Technician for certain events operating as the technical point of contact for visiting productions.
