21 Neighbourhood Artworks is a borough-wide series of public art commissions for London Borough of Culture (LBOC) 2027 - Haringey, a Mayor of London cultural initiative. It will feature a series of murals and installations across all 21 wards in the borough reflecting the name and character of the neighbourhood it represents. These artworks will act as a gentle reveal and intention-setting moment, building anticipation and cohesion for the London Borough of Culture 2027 in Haringey. Installed on visible yet under-appreciated surfaces, the artworks create a borough-wide trail of cultural landmarks, reinforcing local pride and celebrating the distinctiveness of each neighbourhood. These commissions will create opportunities for skills development and meaningful community participation, enhance the public realm and embed culture into everyday journeys, support placemaking, visibility and belonging while fostering shared ownership, connection and pride within the communities. This project will be developed and delivered in partnership with Haringey Council between May 2026 - May 2027. - Manage commissioning processes, including artist open calls and direct commissions
- Lead artist liaison, contracting and commissioning documentation.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, production planning and delivery across the 21 Neighbourhood Artworks programme.
- Lead procurement and coordination with fabricators, installers and other production suppliers where required.
- Coordinate permissions, logistics and installation planning alongside Haringey Council and relevant delivery partners.
- Ensure community engagement activity is reflected in project planning and delivery.
- Ensure the programme is rooted in Haringey's neighbourhoods and responsive to local context.
