The post holder will be responsible for strategically delivering and implementing the Families' Programme at the V&A South Kensington with a focus on events for children and families during school holidays (Half terms, summer breaks, etc). The post holder will have particular expertise in creative learning and developing flagship experiences for children and families. The post holder will work to bring diverse narratives and practitioners into the programme and deliver relevant learning programmes for a wide range of family learners on a local and national level, including, but not limited to, EYFS, school age, and intergenerational programming. They will be a clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills to work across the Learning Department and with wider museums teams. They will work closely with the Adobe Creative Residency team, as one Adobe Creative Resident every year focuses on families audiences. They will work to bring the themes of the resident's medium to families, and strive to engage historically underserved audiences. They will be an active part of the families and wider learning team, and have experience strategising, leading and implementing programming tied to museum collections. They will work across the museum to ensure successful events, including marketing, social media, health and safety, estates, and more. Project Management: Have the overall responsibility for delivering the families programme during school breaks such as half term and school holidays. Programme Development: lead the intellectual development of families programmes, planning and managing the content and delivery of relevant programmes working collaboratively, museum wide and to the supervision of the Team Leader. Stakeholder Management and Partnerships: Build and manage internal and external relationships to enhance programme visibility and reputation internally and externally. Budget Management: Manage project budgets to ensure effective programme delivery within targets. Staff Management: work closely with the Producer, Families and wider families team to ensure a motivated and high-performance team in line with museum policies.Job Summary

Has solid experience of project management and delivering creative projects for children and families
Has experience in managing budgets and reporting to key stakeholders
Has experience with planning and delivering high profile workshops, taught sessions, and large events for children and families
Experience working with and expanding diverse audiences at scale
Experience working with creative practitioners and artists
Is a confident and clear communicator to a wide range of audiences
Is detail orientated, proactive, and organised
Has strong interpersonal skills; a team player, fosters constructive collegial relationships, relates positively to public audiences and external contributors and stakeholders.
