Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team on a full time permanent contract, offering a salary of up to £65,000 per annum.

The FP&A team provides the link between Finance and the rest of the organisation, recording and analysing data to add value to operational and strategic decision-making and develop the best possible, joined-up, financial management. Our mission is to ensure effective financial and risk management of Southbank Centre and be acknowledged as a key partner in achieving its aims and objectives.

Job Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience building relationships of trust and reliability with both operational staff and Heads of Department/leadership
  • Experience of successful delivery of finance business partnering activities from full accounting cycle to advisory
  • Strong IT skills including:
    • Experience of finance software and reporting packages.
    • A baseline intermediate Excel/Gsheets level (pivot tables, lookups functions, sumifs, graphs) with a desire to upgrade to an advanced level (Power Query, Power BI, SQL).
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritise time for training within a busy schedule.
  • Experience managing/supervising staff
  • Flexibility in approach and ability to prioritise a heavy workload in order to produce information to deadline
  • Excellent report writing skills, and the ability to turn raw data into clear and useful business information for the target audience

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively build excellent relationships with the Heads of Departments for Artistic, Audiences, and Development as well as Directors for those areas
  • Identify and ensure the delivery by FPB/MA of ad-hoc financial training to Visual Arts, Central, and Development teams to aid their understanding of financial information.
  • Develop relationships aimed at improving the data capabilities of the FP&A team and at better incorporating financial and non-financial data (e.g. IT, Insights, Ticketing…).
  • Lead on the delivery of month-end, year-end, forecasting, and budgeting for Artistic, Audiences, and Development including ensuring accurate production of accounts and draft of insightful and concise variance analysis/narrative. This includes being responsible for the delivery of local financial reports shared with individual teams as well as the relevant parts of the Southbank Centre Management Accounts.
  • Be proactive in identifying and carrying out financial analysis relevant to the areas
