This newly created role of Senior Curator & Producer will work closely with the Head of Cultural Programming, to develop and deliver Haigh Hall's cultural programme plus support the development of the new gallery spaces and visitor experience.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced curator and producer to join and develop this new team. You will have a strong track record in curating interdisciplinary, high quality exhibitions and producing innovative public programmes that engage diverse audiences.

You will be an energetic, positive, enthusiastic and an engaging manager who will ensure all aspects of the business are effectively managed.

You will be a collaborator who works effectively with artists, cultural organisations and audiences to deliver the highest quality outputs

You will provide effective leadership and support for your team members ensuring an open and consistent approach.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Cultural Programming to develop and deliver a compelling curatorial vision for Haigh Hall's galleries and public spaces.
  • Play a key role in the development of the opening programme and festival for the Hall in collaboration with colleagues, communities and partners
  • Play a key role in securing commissions for the Hall in collaboration with colleagues and partners
  • Build and lead a new team to programme and deliver the curatorial, production and technical delivery of the cultural programme.
  • Develop a programme of research of the history of the Hall and estate building on existing knowledge and in collaboration with archives and museum colleagues, and communities with a view to developing interpretations, commission and a public programme
  • Support the design and specification of the technical requirement for the gallery spaces including the requirement for curation and national /international loans
