Create and refine detailed 3D models using Rhinoceros (Rhino), ensuring they meet both aesthetic and fabrication requirements. Produce accurate CAD fabrication drawings-including plans, sections, elevations, and details-for the workshop team. Collaborate with designers, artists, and fabricators to translate creative concepts into technically sound models and drawings. Ensure design intent, tolerances, materials, and assembly methods are clearly communicated in all documentation. Revise models and drawings based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders. Support prototyping and R&D by refining technical models. Maintain organized digital files and drawing sets according to in-house workflows. Proficiency in Rhino (essential); strong understanding of surfaces, solids, and 3D modelling workflows. Solid understanding of Sketchup. Solid experience producing CAD fabrications drawings (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent). Keen understanding of fabrication processes across wood, metal, joinery, and sculpture. Strong spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and accuracy. Experience or interest in experimental fabrication and material research a plus. Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, craft-focused team.
