Contract: Permanent. Part time, 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE). (We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements and job shares)

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 FTE per annum (depending on experience), Pro-rated to £15,000 - £18,000 for 0.6 FTE

We are seeking a creative Sales and Marketing Coordinator who is adept at using data to sustain and grow relationships with audiences, including customers and supporters. This is a new role which will capture, segment and analyse customer data to help increase our revenue and attendance. You will use this data to promote activities across the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration - ranging from ticketed exhibitions, membership, workshops, learning programmes, fundraising appeals, retail and catering - to encourage loyalty through a mix of upselling, cross-promotion and forecasting.

Part of this varied role will also involve producing e-communications including newsletters, print collateral and supporting the Communications and Marketing Lead with listings. This role will be integral to ensuring the brand is applied consistently and we meet best practice standards for accessibility. You will have excellent communication skills with an ability to prioritise and multi-task.

Job Requirements

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience of working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and / or a ticketing system, with willingness to learn new systems.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including visual literacy and experience of drafting copy such as e-newsletters for specific audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, with a demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks by prioritising effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience of using insights or other data to create and plan effective marketing and communications.
  • Experience of digital marketing and Google Analytics.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in using all MS Office software.
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills, with an ability to work independently.
  • Strong interest in accessibility, culture and visual arts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with colleagues to optimise our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and ticketing systems to streamline data capture, segmentation and automated communications.
  • Analyse and segment customer data to market the Centre's products and services including ticketed exhibitions, workshops, learning programmes, membership, fundraising appeals, retail and catering.
  • Manage lists including e-subscribers, members and supporters.
  • Ensure that customer data is stored in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Maintain sufficient checking mechanisms in place to keep the data relevant, accurate and updated.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of UK Data Protection law requirements and work to ensure that systems and processes are compliant.
  • Produce communications to market the Centre and its products, including e-newsletters, listings releases and print collateral, liaising with external suppliers for print production.
