We are looking for two energetic, creative and experienced Resident Artists to co-create work with our young people and help deliver our year-round programme of workshops and performances.

Job Description

Company Three are looking for two new Resident Artists to join our team on a one-year fixed term contract, working 4 days a week. The Resident Artist will bring their experience, energy and creativity to their residency at Company Three, supporting the delivery of Company Three's artistic programme, leading core company projects, workshops and other activities as well as other satellite projects.

Working as part of a collaborative artistic leadership structure, they play an active role in regular practice labs to interrogate and develop C3's practice and methodology, as well as contributing to monitoring, evaluation, dissemination and external partnerships.

Four days a week, 8 hours a day.

  • Experience delivering and facilitating work with young people
  • Willingness to further develop their work
  • Can respond to ideas and needs identified by the company and the young people
  • Can demonstrate the ability to listen to others and work together as a team
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen, translate and platform the ideas of young people
  • Can evidence ability to create a high quality devised work from origination to production
  • A strong understanding of what it is like to be a young person in Islington
  • An open and reflective approach to inclusion, diversity and equity
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to care in the delivery of work and pastoral support for young people

Artistic programme

  • Work with the Artistic Director to support the planning and delivery of Company Three's artistic programme;
  • Contribute to the development of our overall artistic strategy and plan activities to meet organisational aims and objectives;
  • Attend and contribute to weekly practice labs engaging in discussion around artistic practice;
  • Support the Artistic Director and wider team with research, development and feedback as required.

Project development and delivery

  • Run workshops and participate in R&D for future work across our Summer Programmes and Core Company Residential in August;
  • Conceive, create and direct projects and plays for C3 Core Company members to perform (you will be assigned to a Core Company group who rehearse on Monday evenings, as well as a 678 Group who run on a Wednesday or Thursday afternoons),
  • Create and run core company and outreach workshops and intensive projects to engage C3 members and co-cre
