Job Summary

We are looking for a Research & Data Manager to join the Music Mark team and lead on our work championing high quality research, data collection and analysis. If you have a passion for data that you can share with our network, we'd love to meet you!

Job Description

Contract hours: 14 hours per week

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading data collection and analysis across Music Mark to support data-led decision making and advocacy
  • Fostering data literacy internally and across the sector
  • Developing links with Higher Education institutions, positioning Music Mark as an academic partner for research
  • Promoting and translating academic research for a wider audience
  • Commissioning research where gaps are identified and evidence is required to support the case for music education
  • Leading on Music Mark's supportive role around collecting and interpreting data linked to government funding in England and Wales, including analysis of national music education data sets
  • Developing toolkits and training for the membership and wider sector
  • Developing relationships between Music Mark and academia

  • A laptop and/or other office equipment and resources will be provided where needed to undertake this role.
  • Holiday entitlement for full-time employees is 25 days per year, plus statutory bank holidays and an office closure between Christmas and New Year. The entitlement for this role will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
  • 3% employer contributions to a NEST pension scheme.
