Description

Job Summary

Bath & North East Somerset Council serves a unique urban and rural area, delivering high‑quality public services and leading regeneration, heritage and place‑making. At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.

Job Description

Fixed Term Contract (until 31 March 2028)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Officer to provide essential coordination and delivery support across two major capital projects:

Fashion Museum Bath (FMB) - Capital Programme
Supporting the development, procurement, and stakeholder engagement that will enable the creation of the new Fashion Museum Bath.

Milsom Quarter Public Realm Project Strand
Working closely with the MQPR project team to support the design, consultation, logistics, and delivery phases of public realm improvements essential to the future success of the new museum and the wider city centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of Bath's cultural transformation, helping deliver projects that will shape the city centre and support the opening of a world class museum in 2030.

The role is split between both programmes:
Three days per week supporting MQPR delivery
Two days per week supporting the FMB capital programme
In this role you will:

Oversee project administration and documentation
Support procurement and grant funded processes
Coordinate consultation and stakeholder engagement
Manage surveys and technical logistics
Produce communications and project updates
Maintain trackers, reporting tools, and programme information
Provide cross team support to ensure both programmes run smoothly and remain well coordinated
You will play a key role in ensuring both programme strands run smoothly, information is well organised, and teams have the support they need to deliver complex, high impact work.
