Job Summary

Passionate about helping young people thrive through music? This varied role combines programme coordination, event support and participant engagement, ensuring children and young people enjoy exceptional creative opportunities while supporting artists, families and partners.

Job Description

The Programme Co-ordinator: Pathways plays a key role in the planning, administration and delivery of Children, Families & Young People (CFYP) Pathways programmes. Working closely with the Programme Manager and wider CFYP team, you will support a range of activities, including Advanced Young Musicians and Friday Afternoons, helping to deliver high-quality experiences for participants, artists and partners.

You will coordinate participant administration, artist contracting, scheduling and programme logistics, while acting as a key point of contact for children, young people and their families. Working closely with colleagues across Music, Finance and Production, you will support the smooth delivery of workshops, rehearsals, performances and residential activities. The role also includes line management of Workshop Assistants and ensuring safeguarding, DBS, attendance and other compliance requirements are met.

This is a practical and people-focused role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will be proactive, adaptable and confident working in busy delivery environments, building positive relationships with participants, families, artists and colleagues.

We are looking for someone with experience in programme coordination, administration, education, youth work, community engagement, or arts and cultural settings. An interest in music, the arts or creative learning would be advantageous, but we welcome candidates with transferable skills who are passionate about supporting children and young people to learn, grow and thrive through creative opportunities.

This role is advertised as full time but we would also consider 0.6 and 0.8.

Experience working with children and young people, maintaining accurate records, and supporting events, workshops or programmes is essential. A collaborative approach, understanding of safeguarding principles, and commitment to inclusive, high-quality experiences are key. An interest in music, the arts or creative learning is desirable, along with the flexibility to support occasional evening, weekend or residential activities. An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
