Production Manager, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

We are: looking for a dynamic, experienced Production Manager to join the Conservatoire's Central Production Unit. This is a key role at the heart of our production activity-delivering ambitious, high-quality work across the School of Stage and Screen, while supporting the student learning experience.

You'll collaborate with academic and technical teams to turn creative vision into reality, balancing artistic ambition with operational excellence, safety, and efficiency.

You will: lead the end-to-end delivery of productions-driving projects from concept to performance, on time and on budget. You'll manage complex production processes, coordinate teams, and ensure every production meets professional standards.

Working closely with academic colleagues, you'll support teaching and learning, mentor students, and contribute to a production environment that puts the student experience first.

You'll solve problems and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements and delivering continuous improvement across production activity.

You should: bring strong professional experience in production management, with a clear understanding of the full production lifecycle and the ability to balance creative ambition with practical delivery. You'll be confident working collaboratively with academic, creative, and technical colleagues, ensuring productions meet both professional and educational objectives.
