Job Summary

As THP continues to expand its ambitious slate of UK and international theatre productions, we are seeking a proactive, organised, and fast-learning Production Assistant to join our Production team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple productions.

Job Description

You will support the team with a range of administrative, logistical, and creative tasks-from rehearsal coordination to document preparation-helping ensure efficient day-to-day running of projects. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with previous production or arts administration experience, who is eager to develop their skills and take on increasing responsibility over time.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter, confident handling a varied workload, comfortable learning quickly, and passionate about theatre and the producing process. This role offers significant room for growth and exposure to all areas of production.

Key Objectives

  • Support the smooth coordination of THP productions from pre-production through to closing night.
  • Produce clear, well-formatted documents, packs, and schedules in line with THP branding.
  • Manage your workload effectively, communicating clearly with colleagues and collaborators.
  • Assist with rehearsals, workshops, auditions, and press nights, contributing to a positive experience for artists and teams.
  • Liaise confidently with venues, creatives, agencies, and suppliers under guidance from the production team.
  • Support the organisation and upkeep of production files, documents, and digital systems.

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in production, theatre administration, or a related fast-paced arts environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Good design and document-formatting abilities; competence in Canva is essential.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative when appropriate.
  • Strong attention to detail across both workflow and document presentation.
  • Professional, personable working style and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
