A London pottery studio is seeking a passionate throwing teacher with excellent people skills to teach small groups in both throwing and general hand-building. It is essential that the candidate can bring people together from different backgrounds with energy and enthusiasm to create inspiring learning experiences with clay. The position includes some technician hours for tasks such as operating the kiln, preparing materials and glazing. Teaching Hours: Sunday 10am - 12pm / Tuesday 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Pay from £25/hr Technician Hours: Sunday 1 - 3pm. Pay from £15/hr Location: Wimbledon Proficient in wheel throwing and general hand-building techniques. Existing teaching experience in ceramics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and inclusive teaching style. Able to work with students of all ages, levels and learning needs. Ability to work independently to lead group classes and carry out technician duties. Reliable and punctual with strong initiative. Commitment to maintain a clean and safe studio environment. Lead engaging and student focused classes fostering a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and creativity. Provide clear and supportive instruction on ceramic techniques suited to all skill levels. Support students to develop their confidence and pottery skills. Maintain a clean, organised studio environment before, during, and after sessions. Engage with the studios' social media pages to upload images and promote courses from time to time.
