Job Summary

Razzamataz Theatre Schools Sheffield are currently seeking a special individual to deliver our magical Performing Arts classes to preschool children.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be able to deliver our lesson plans in an imaginative and creative way, engaging the children and making the experience exciting and educational for them. We are looking for professionals who have a natural affinity with this age group that are able to use their knowledge and experience to provide stimulating sessions. This person will be overflowing with energy and will have a passion for inspiring the next generation of performers. Applicants do not need to be experts in all three disciplines of dance, drama and singing but they should be bubbling over with confidence and enthusiasm.

About Razzamataz

We are an award winning theatre school providing training in dance, drama and singing in both musical theatre and commercial styles to children aged 2-18 years. We aim to develop a child's confidence whilst they learn new skills, make new friends and have fun in a safe and secure environment.

Razzamataz Theatre Schools are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory "Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check". Pay is determined by experience but always supersedes NMW.

Job Requirements

The Details

Classes are normally held at Meadowhead School, Dyche Lane, Sheffield, S8 8BR and these classes run on Saturdays during term time. This role is 2 x 45 minute classes for ages 2-3.

Experience in the Performing Arts is essential and experience working with children is preferred. Some training will be provided. Pay is between £15-30 / hour depending on experience. The role includes free on-site parking, holiday pay, term time teaching only. The application deadline is Friday 18th October and interviews will be held the following week via Zoom.

The job role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Working as part of a team committed to providing high quality performing arts training
  • Providing high energy and fun performing arts classes
  • Helping the students discover the world of Performing Arts through all disciplines
  • Interpreting themed lesson plans provided by Razzamataz and tailoring these to the students and parents in class
  • Organising crafts each week and preparing these for weekly sessions
  • Good organisation skills
  • A passion for teaching the Performing Arts and for working with young children
