Job Description

Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. Our excellence was recognised by the 2025 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked as the global No. 1 institution for both Music and Performing Arts. The College has held this world-leading place in Performing Arts for the three successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the rankings this year.

The RCM is looking to appoint a Performance Manager (Chamber & Solo) to join its active Performance and Programming department. The Performance Manager (Chamber & Solo) oversees the full life cycle of the chamber and solo performance programme at the RCM. This includes curating and programming concerts, coordinating with guest artists, and managing all aspects of concert production - from student placement and rehearsal scheduling to logistical support and stage management. The role is central to the delivery of the RCM's regular concert series as well as high-profile chamber concerts and festivals.

The successful applicant will be joining a highly creative team in an exciting working environment, and will work closely with students, professors and visiting artists. Chamber Music is an integral part of the college life and students perform at the College and at the other renowned venues including the Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in working in a classical music environment and an excellent knowledge of small scale and chamber music. The role requires an ability to work proactively, flexibly and creatively on a variety of different tasks and we are looking for someone with a high level of interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
