The People Operations Coordinator is a pivotal role within the People Team, responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end people operations across Somerset House Trust. The role requires someone who can confidently work independently, managing high volumes of activity, applying judgement and taking responsibility for outcomes. Whilst the role works closely with the Head of People and People Business Partner, it operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires an experienced, proactive, and self-directed HR professional. - Solid administrative experience, ideally with a People/HR context
- Ability to work with integrity and discretion, manage confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- A passion and proactive approach to Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Belonging in the workplace
- Awareness of key aspects of employment law, with a desire to learn and develop knowledge
- Experience using people data and simple analytics to inform decisions and improve practice.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence working with digital tools and systems, including HRIS, learning platforms and Microsoft tools and SharePoint.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail, particularly when handling people data and sensitive information
- Microsoft Automate knowledge is a bonus!Job Responsibilities
- Own and drive people administration across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts and variations, probation, family leave, flexible working and leavers.
- Support with all recruitment activity our application tracking system, Pinpoint
- Independently manage the People inbox, responding to all queries with clarity, consistency, applying policy, process, and working knowledge of employment law pragmatically.
- Create the monthly People Newsletter (on WordFly) to showcase People Team initiatives and people changes across the Trust.
- Be accountable for the accuracy, completeness and integrity of people data within our HR system (PeopleHR)
- Acts as a champion for DEI&B initiatives across the Trust, advocating and promoting these values in everything you do.Useful Links
