Job Summary

Are you a highly organized, creative, and proactive person with a "can-do" attitude? Are you passionate about plastic waste and would love to learn how to make art from it?

Job Description

A busy plastic waste artist seeks a part-time Studio Assistant to help with various tasks in the studio. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to jump in and get hands on.

The Role

This is a very physical role where you'll assist with a variety of tasks in a creative studio.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Organizing and tidying the studio and art materials.

* Using various tools to assist the artist with the artistic projects.

* Creating and finalizing social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. You should have some experience with these platforms.

* Supporting the artist during upcoming workshops in schools and the wider community. You will receive training for this.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a quick-thinking, self-starter who can work independently. You should be fit and well, as this role requires you to be on your feet for most of the day.

Previous experience with photo/video editing and camera work is a plus but not essential, as training will be provided.

Important Details

* Hours: 4 hours per week with the possibility of increasing to 8 hours.

* Immediate start required.

* £15 per hour

* The work involves handling tools such as cutting knives, scissors, irons, and heat presses. Safety equipment, including a mask for work in the plastic studio, will be provided.

If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, please send your CV and covering letter to [email protected]

I look forward to hearing from you!

Closing date: 17 October with interviews being held on 20 October.
