We are looking for an organised, responsible, confident and motivated Assistant to join our Cecil Court gallery. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of our gallery team in the West End.

  • The role is based on site in our gallery at 22-24 Cecil Court, London, WC2N 4HE.
  • Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm
  • Starting salary: £12.71 per hour

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, smart handwriting.
  • Excellent time keeping skills.
  • Trustworthy and self-motivated.
  • Can do attitude and flexible approach to working.

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous administration experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the gallery.
  • Managing the sales of paintings and providing high level customer service to our clients.
  • Promptly responding to enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
  • Supervising the gallery space, ensuring it is presented to the highest standards at all times.
  • Wrapping art work and arranging domestic and international shipping.
  • Representing the gallery at exhibitions, art fairs and events.
  • Keeping the gallery's website, external platforms and database up to date.
  • Other relevant duties not outlined in this post may be required to achieve the goals of the gallery.
